A broken or chipped tooth is repaired with a filling, a crown or a veneer, depending on how much of the tooth is left. At Ooi Dental we look first at whether the tooth can be saved, then agree the repair with you before starting.
Why it matters
A chip that does not hurt still matters. The break leaves a sharp edge that catches the tongue and cheek, and it exposes the softer layer under the enamel, where decay travels faster than it does through the surface. A crack can also run deeper than it looks: what shows above the gum is rarely the whole of it.
If a piece has come away and the tooth is now sensitive to cold or to biting, that is the nerve telling you it is involved. That is worth seeing sooner rather than waiting for it to settle.

If you are in pain today, emergencies are attended to immediately during opening hours. Walk-in patients are usually seen within 30 minutes. Ooi Dental does not publish treatment fees. You will be told the cost of your plan before anything starts, and you decide from there.
