Dentistry drew Dr Wayne in because it brings together science, hands-on skill and a real difference in someone’s life. What still makes the long days worth it is seeing a case come together, especially when a tooth that was causing trouble can be saved and restored.

That is why root canal treatment and restorative dentistry are Dr Wayne’s special interests. Some patients come in expecting to lose a tooth and do not realise how much can be done to keep it. Finding a way to save it, and explaining the options honestly along the way, is the part of the work Dr Wayne enjoys most.

If you are nervous, Dr Wayne explains what will happen before starting, takes the time to answer your questions, and does not rush you. The goal is that you leave feeling well looked after, knowing what was done and why, and reassured rather than worried.

Dr Wayne keeps working on root canal, restorative and aesthetic skills, and reviews past cases to see what could be done better. Outside the clinic: pickleball, new food spots, and travelling with a wife who is also a dentist. Back in dental school, she did a root canal on him. The root canal worked out, and so did they.
